The Warrior Bride in Israel

Along with the steady growth in the size and maturity of the body of Messiah in Israel in the past decade, there has been a deepening appreciation of the vital role of worship in the advancing of His Kingdom in the face of great spiritual opposition. In these last days, as the battles intensify over the very survival and salvation of our nation of Israel , the Lord is calling His Messianic body in the Land to rise up and take our place as His warrior bride – warring in the spirit, while resting in our Bridegroom. With missiles aimed at us from all sides, as well as forces within Israel hostile to the spread of the gospel, our corporate, unified praise becomes a powerful “shield of faith” to hold back the “fiery darts of the enemy” (Eph. 6:16). From our position of authority as the Bride of Yeshua seated with Him in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6), we are proclaiming to the principalities and powers of darkness His unchanging purposes and destiny for our nation.

However, to be truly effective as worshipping warriors, and to be able to “run the race with endurance” we have learned that it is essential to continually rest and “re-arm” ourselves in the secret place of bridal intimacy with Yeshua. It is in this place, as we gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, that we see with clear vision our Risen Messiah, we hear the joyful sound (Ps. 89:15) of His eternal victory, and we emerge with new strength for the battle (Is. 40:31).

There is a new generation of Israeli believers (Ps. 24:6) coming forth who are longing for and spending time in His presence. Out of this intimacy with Him, many anointed, new praise and worship songs are being released to the musicians and singers in the Hebrew language. More and more congregations are now holding regular weekly and all-night worship watches, and new ministries dedicated to worship and prayer are being established.

“Who is she who looks forth as the morning, fair as the moon , clear as the sun, awesome as an army with banners?” This is the warrior bride, arising out of the desert, leaning upon her Beloved. “Hava nagila v’nismecha!” – “Let us rejoice and be glad” for the Bride is making herself ready for the soon return of the King of Israel (Rev. 19:7).

PRAYER POINTS:

  • For the shout of victory to break forth in worship throughout the body of Messiah in Israel , to drive out all discouragement and fear.
  • For an increase in inter-congregational worship events, to build unity and lift up a shield of praise against our enemies.
  • For the Lord to raise up and train more Israeli musicians, psalmists, and worship leaders in the body of Messiah.
